Stop Putting Your Life On Hold For Someone Special – YOU Are Someone Special.

This is Bobbi Jo. She originally contacted me because she was reaching a milestone birthday and wanted to do something special for herself.

This was her email to me after receiving her photos:
“Jackee, I received the package from you today. Thank you! I never think of myself as an attractive individual yet the photos made me feel differently today. They came at a good time for me, a very good time. I struggle with life at times and today something as simple as seeing myself through the eyes of someone else made the difference. I can’t even begin to tell you what this email meant to me.

This VERY thing is the reason I LOVE taking photos of women. I know we ALL struggle with self-worth in one way or another (even the “pretty” girls) and for me to know that I’ve shown someone what others see, what they almost NEVER see in themselves, makes my heart sing.

To the women I’ve photographed so far, I hope that if you are ever feeling low, you can look at your photos and see what *I* saw when I took your photos and what your loved ones see when they look at you.

And I thank you for giving me the opportunity to make you life a little bit better, for giving MY life a purpose.

And y’know, you don’t really need a “reason” to have your photos taken … thought there are plenty of reasons to have your portraits done. Like Bobbi Jo, you might be having a milestone birthday (30th, 40th, 50th), you may be going through a difficult time in your life and feeling down on yourself, you may have just broken up with the love of your life or celebrated a year with the love of your life … having your portraits done will last longer than that pint of Blue Bunny Butter Pecan or a night on the town with your besties.

It doesn’t matter WHY you get your portraits done, it matters that you’ll have actual physical reminders that you actually ARE beautiful and that you can see it, just like the people who love you do

Stop putting your life on hold for someone special. YOU are someone special.

So … that right there is the reason I SPECIALIZE in women’s photography.

But I also do and LOVE other sorts of photography. I have a ball shooting with seniors and getting that one perfect shot makes me do a little dance every time. Maternity sessions make me weepy … I wish we’d thought to do that sort of thing when I was carrying my own two sweet babies. Family sessions are awesome … especially with older kids that have a great realtionship with their parents.

I SPECIALIZE in photographing women, but I LOVE taking portraits of EVERYBODY.
